Since then natural flooring products have become increasingly popular in trendy town houses and country retreats alike. Coir is made from the strong fibres of the coconut husk found in the lush state of Kerala, India. The coconuts grow around the many inland lakes and waterways.

Seagrass grows in the tropical climates of China and Vietnam in coastal meadows on the banks of the rivers. The plant has tiny flowers and strap like oval leaves.
